We are proud to present to you the newest addition to the BBIS publication family: Welcome to The Seeblog!
The Seeblog is a blogazine that aims to serve the local community of Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS) — i.e., Kleinmachnow and beyond.
Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our BBIS Boarding students as well as other local students and staff with timely information, helpful reviews and great features. The Seeblog will continue to be updated throughout the year with new ideas and information about things to do, how to get places, interesting facts, and so on, mostly written (and photographed) by students in BBIS Boarding.
Here is a taste of what you can find here; explore these topics by clicking the corresponding links at right:
GETTING A GLIMPSE
Original photography and artwork from the BBIS Boarders, including images of special events at BBIS.
GETTING A LIFE
Information on BBIS and Boarding life including IB survival tips, advice by students for students living on their own, Boarding events and more.
GETTING INTO IT
Berlin, of course, but also the Kleinmachnow region has a rich history and many historical and cultural treasures to be found. Visit to find out about locations to explore in the local area, e.g., accessible by foot or bike. This section also includes useful German phrases and slang, advice about how to adapt to German culture, and we hope eventually to include a great local map of the wealth of local bike routes and trails.
GETTING OUT
This section is for increasing the quality of life of BBISers living in the local area. Get tips and information about things to see and do both locally and in the Big City. There are sections for entertainment and the arts, a shopping guide, student reviews and recommendations on restaurants, and who knows what else!
GETTING SMART
Students-helping-students get the most out of their BBIS education, be it those in Boarding or in the day school. Look here for study tips, articles on the ins and outs of various BBIS resources, and so on.
GETTING THERE
What it says: All you need to know about how to get places by foot, bike, public transportation, and even tips about getting to airports, as well as information on student travel in general.
Get started now by exploring the various sections, then be sure to keep revisiting the site for updates. And if you have an idea for an article you would like to see on the site or want to get involved by writing about something you care about, please let us know!
